The Bahamas: Tropical heaven with pristine shades of blue

When the sea lovers dream of a good isle of powdery sand, engulfed  by seas in pristine shades of blue, they probably must be dreaming of the Bahamas. Composed of 700 islands and more than 2,000 small strips spread across the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea, this tropical heaven that’s in your eyes is only 80 kilometers from Florida at its closest point. Named for its luxurious  pink sand beaches and fancy resorts, the island is commonly  known as “Briland,”  and has long been a getaway destination for the rich and famous.

5)Grand Bahama

The northern tip  of the Bahamian islands, Grand Bahama is a famous place for package tourists and cruises. The capital, Freeport, is the second largest city in the Bahamas.

6) Andros Island

Did you know that Andros contains the biggest landmass in the Bahamas, and houses the third biggest barrier reef in the world, alongside ample  freshwater blue holes and under the sea caves. It thus means, that this is a coveted destination for divers. The island’s vast wetlands create channels, which are primarily for  boating and fishing areas.
