Atalaya Castle is a historic example of Spanish architecture and those who can’t get enough of history can visit Georgetown, one of the oldest cities in the Carolinas. Georgetown Front Street also offers a ghost tour. You can also check Hopswee Plantation, another emblem of the region’s history. There are plenty of museums on display, like Horry County Museum that offers a free entrance to the visitors or South Carolina Hall of Fame.
Visit the famous Marsh Walk, wooden boardwalk lined with restaurants and enjoy your evenings with incredible food and a view to die for. The village of Market Common is another lovely spot to grab some food at or go shopping. On the other hand, Barefoot Landing is a specific shopping and entertainment village which offers much more than you need to have a good time. There are also plenty of theaters and cinemas you can visit, and, of course, plenty of famous restaurants. Peaches Corner, for example, is definitely an iconic place where you can get cheap and tasty food.
Lovers of the macabre can visit the Nightmare Horror House that guarantees some good scares or the Hollywood Wax Museum. There are plenty of tours and courses to choose from as well, so everyone will find something to their taste.
